Community Health and Social Service Programs

Strong Beginnings is an innovative relationship-based consulting company that provides therapeutic services, wellness programs and professional growth workshops throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin region of BC. Led by company founder, women’s health specialist and paediatric occupational therapist Melissa LaPointe, we work with our clients to get them feeling stronger and healthier from the inside-out.

In addition to paediatric occupational therapy, we offer cash-based wellness services for women across the lifespan. This includes specialty services for whole-body alignment, prenatal health, postnatal recovery, core and pelvic floor health, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and trauma.

StrongStart is a FREE, drop-in, parent-participation program. We are funded and supported by the Ministry of Education and School District #27. All StrongStart centres are staffed by Early Childhood Educators who are trained to facilitate activities that encourage parent/caregivers to interact directly with their children. Children age 0-5 are welcome to attend with an adult.more info
