Duty Counsel: Family Law: Provincial Court

A project of the Legal Services Society of B.C: www.lss.bc.ca.

Assists lower-income individuals who don't qualify for legal aid, with some family law issues, including providing information and helping with the preparation of Family Court Documents.

Duty Counsel can attend court with client to:

• Help with simple, uncontested hearings about custody, access and support;
• Get a consent or emergency restraining order;
• Request an adjournment.

Available at the courthouse on days when court is in session.
