Big Brothers Big Sisters In-School Mentoring Program

Big Brothers Big Sisters South Cariboo is a satellite office of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Williams Lake hosted by the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre in 100 Mile House. The In School Mentoring program provides girls and boys with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with, within school grounds. For one hour a week, mentors meet with their mentee and engage in activities such as board games, crafts or just hang out in the playground. Our Big Sisters, provide girls and young women with a role model and friend to talk to and share their experiences of growing up with in a safe and non-threatening environment. Through regular outings, a relationship between a Big Sisters and Little is developed that is built on trust and common interests that is supported by our experienced case-workers across the country. The result is simple; a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee. more info
