We as Aboriginal people are responsible for our future, and that means it is important for our children to have a safe, caring, and loving environment. GOALS of Denisiqi: Deliver community-based, culturally appropriate child and family programs to the ʔEsdilagh, Xeni Gwet’in, Tsi Deldel, Yunesit’in, Tl’esqox and Ulkatchot’en. Deliver services from a prevention support and intervention orientation. Provide services with a view of keeping families together. Promote and facilitate healing. Renner House is a 4 bed, short stay substance withdrawal program, operated by Axis Family Resources and funded by Interior Health Authority, located in Williams Lake. Offers 24 hour medication support with managing withdrawal symptoms in a safe, caring and non-judgmental environment. Professional staff assist with discharge planning and guidance to further treatment options. Average stay between 3-5 days, depending on severity of withdrawal symptoms and discharge planning. Clients will need to meet with their physician for an admission assessment and referral to the program. more info
